Channeled Resources Group (CRG) is a noted pioneer and champion of sustainability in the label and liner industries. CRG was an integral part of the consortium that developed benign adhesives technology and we were able to enhance liner recycling by working to develop de-siliconized pulp. We created options for landfilling non-recyclable pressure-sensitive matrix waste by helping to develop an engineered fuel product.  We were an instrumental force in helping to create the first globally recognized environmental management system for the label industries: L.I.F.E (Label Initiative for the Environment).  These actions have helped our industry to achieve best practices and to reduce its carbon footprint both in North America and Europe.

Channeled Resources continues to expand our own internal activities to reduce our carbon footprint and to be a Best Workplace, by incorporating ESG (environmental, social, and governance) metrics. CRG has worked diligently to identify touchpoints that our sustainability committee uses to continue to build upon our foundational tradition of improved governance. We support the 2030 SDG (sustainable development goals) of the United Nations’ agenda for transforming our world:  People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership.

By-Product Solutions

One often overlooked aspect of sustainability is the management of by-products or waste incurred in the manufacturing process. In the world of printing, release liner, and matrix waste can be a big contributor to overall waste numbers.
