Cost Accountant

Channeled Resource Group is looking for a highly motivated Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team. The Cost Accountant will support and assist the Plant Controller in compiling, analyzing, improving, and developing conclusions and actionable plans on all matters relating to our standard cost system.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and/or improve current cost accounting systems and processes for various divisions and product lines
• Daily tracking, analysis, and reporting of throughput and wastes, materials, and labor variances on production jobs
• Monthly and yearly physical inventory count
• Daily and monthly review  and analyze purchases, freight, and overhead cost variances
• Assist in accounts receivable and payable as needed
• Coordinate activities and share results with various supervisors and managers on a daily basis

Requirements:

• This is a non-remote position at our Marathon, WI facility, with exceptions for emergencies, bad weather, or with manager approval
• Minimum Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Intermediate technical skills
• Self-motivated, analytical, strong interpersonal and communication skills
